When I place a brown slab (672:12) it will only place on the top side of the block. Once it has been broken it then appears in my inventory as a (672:4). The 672:4 slabs then function as normal. I tried it on white slabs but they seem to be working fine.

this was a bug with crafitng the slabs, not with the slabs themselves. dammit l0ne
