Something that's always bugged me about the vanilla recipe book is that the recipes are seemingly in a random, nonsensical order, making browsing the recipe book a pain. I feel like adding some sort of order to recipes within the book, whether by item name or function, would go a long way in making the recipe book more user-friendly while falling within the scope of this mod.
