This mainly is being asked out of simply a light anger, but I'm wanting some backports of fabric brewin' and chewin' to at least 1.20.1, but if you want to go farther back you can. My reason for this is basically because the only option other than that is a seemingly abandoned port of the mod to fabric from the past.

However, again, you aren't needing to go farther than 1.20.1 with this if you don't want to, it's your decision, not mine. Also on top of that, I'm not needing or requiring updates for this mod, I'm just asking for at least 1 backport to 1.20.1, since the alternative is just not polished.

The official answer for this is potentially. I haven't weighed up if I'm willing to do this yet.

If I were to do this, I'd be maintaining two branches of the mod instead of how 1.21.1 is set up, I don't really enjoy working with the 1.20.1 codebase and LexForge (not relevant to this, but it means I may have to be more involved with that codebase if I do this) if I'll be honest. So ideally, I'd be doing the bare minimum for this version to work.

hey a potentially is pretty good, and honestly the bare minimum is more what I'm looking for anyway since well, it's not really something i expect to be updated often or at all. Not to mention I don't wanna harm the more, cared about sections of the mod, but even then, I don't make the mod, you make the decisions yourself here,

I will only say one thing as a quick motivator, from what i've seen fabric is a very active modding ecosystem, especially in the version I did ask for at the least, and there is demand since that port I'm talking about is at like 100k downloads. This isn't to say that just because it has more people in it you should or have to, just as I said, a quick motivator.
