Yeah, i tried living with the current speed, but it honestly just seemed like an unecessary nerf that made travel slower then it needed to be. I wouldn't say add a config since this mod doesn't have one but maybe a gamerule or an option in the accessiblity settings that is defaulted to off?

Maybe I'll add a bunch of default datapacks that can be enabled or disabled at any time in the future (much like you can enable the pre 1.14 textures in vanilla MC). Until then though, you can try to create your own datapack that does this very thing too. I'd suggest you to look into the newly created GitHub Wiki of this mod (bear in mind though that it still is very WIP).
