Picking up oil with a bucket gives a water bucket

using buildcraft-universal-1.6.2-3.7.1.205.315

when I picked up oil with a bucket I got a water bucket not an oil bucket.

Biomes-O-Plenty-0.6.0-1.6.2 is also installed.

running in a client/server environment

Now do it without any mods other than BC.

Repeated in single player with no other mods.

I've seen the same thing happen with Biomes o'plenty hotsprings. This may be a forge/vanilla bug

Also happens with creosote from Railcraft, fuel from BC, spring water from BoP and black ink from Mystcraft. Doesn't happen with lava and liquid poison from BoP.

Seems to be something wrong in Forge seeing how other mods are also affected. Though it's weird that both liquids from BoP weren't effected the same way.

Naw, not a Forge bug, just incomplete implementations of buckets.
