Cannot place Buildcraft pipes for FTB or Tekkit

After looking through the older bug reports I couldn't find a solution to the bug I have so thought it be best to ask

For some reason when trying to place a buildcraft pipe, any kind of pipe, they refuse to render in world and seem to autoreturn to my inventory. This has happened to me on both my FTB server and on solo tekkit now and if possible I'd like to know a way to fix it if there is a way to

TreeCapitator's been removed since that last pastebin

and last crash report
http://pastebin.com/uK31Egy7

and far as I know it is only pipes that can't be placed

commented

I don't know about the second one, but the first log is filled with FML errors that affect every mod. Very odd.

commented

First log is filled with errors that are passed to the mods because the server thread is crashing and shutting down.

commented

Are you sure TreeCapitator has been removed? What other mods does bspkrs have?
Check for his TreeCapitator core in coremods.

commented

TreeCapitatorForge.jar is still in there, and it's failing to load.

commented

I did take treecapitator out of the mods folder I can guarantee it, though I didn't remove the config file for it which I just did

and treecapitator was the only mod in there that was from bspkrs mods as far as I know, other than that it's the basic Ultimate mod list for FTB

Add: Tried to place some piping after removing the treecapittor settings file... still no go. It makes the motions to place the pipe but it just ends up back in the slot it was

Please can you provide Forge and Bukkit versions, and perhaps a pastebin of your ForgeModLoader log

commented

Okay forge version is 4.7.35.556 and link for the pastebin is below. I don't actually use bukkit though since my FTB server is pretty much just for me and a few close friends

Sorry about that, my tiredness is showing, I meant to say Buildcraft version, not Bukkit. Though that can be seen from the paste :)

commented

Can you place any other blocks, or just Buildcraft pipes not working?

commented

@Rixyuu
Can you pastebin C:\Users\john\Desktop\FTB Ultimate Server\crash-reports\crash-2013-08-20_22.16.15-server.txt

Also try removing TreeCapitator and see if that fixes any issues

...but you're not supposed to place anything in adventure mode...including pipes.

commented

Of course you are supposed to be able to do that. Pretty much the only thing adventure mode forces is that blocks can only be broken with certain tools and not by hand. It does NOT stop from placing any blocks.

In fact I've been doing all my 1.6 SSP playing in adventure mode for almost a month now and ignoring the lazy modders that haven't registered their blocks and tools it's perfectly playable. Though I admit this might have been different in earlier versions of MC.

commented

How far from the spawn point are you trying to place the pipes?

commented

Ah... managed to figure out what it was finally, though it's an odd little bug I guess, pipes don't like being laid down in Adventure mode... switched over to survival and it placed no problem. Interesting little glitch in my opinion but didn't think it would be that simple, sorry if I wasted people's time ^^;

commented

as far as I can tell, adventure mode is designed and intended to play adventure maps, giving mapmakers a means to restrict how players interact with their map. Buildcraft's focus is survival mode.

commented

That was how it used to be before 1.4.something. This has changed since then and apparently Mojang doesn't intend to change it back considering how long this "bugreport" has been up: https://mojang.atlassian.net/browse/MC-2367

commented

@SirSengir (and seemingly many other mod authors), you seem not to be up to date what the adventure mode has become in the later versions of MC. Yes, long ago it used to be game mode where you couldn't either break or place blocks. This was changed to requiring proper tools for each block, unless it's special-cased to be breakable by hand.

commented

A fun fact:
as BC is properly coded it already supports adventure mode in 1.6 :)

commented

I don't see the point of supporting yet another gamemode which seems a) to be unfinished, unpolished and buggy, b) isn't even available without cheats or savegame hacking, c) doesn't look to be supported or promoted by Mojang itself and d) looks to be entirely pointless except for ... you know... adventure maps (none of which include mods anyway).

So: Not going to look into this further at this point.
