Gates and pipe plugs.

When attaching a gate and blocking one side with a pipe plug, it should prevent the gate from "reading" that specific side.
bug or suggestion?
Hey im having a bug or im just in the wrong version of buildcraft idk but i cant find the power requested in the gates version A-3.7.1
building on this, i would also like to suggest 2 additional pipe plugs.
redstone-plug, allow redstone signal to/from gates, but disallow pipes to connect on that side.
hollow-plug, allow pipes to connect, but disallow redstone to/from gates on that side side
please shoot me down if this is a brainfart idear ;)
If I'm not mistaken you can do the redstone-plug already by using structure pipe for that gate. Wires will connect across, but the pipe will not.
Hollow plug. What would be the use case for this?
But in general, the plugs are intended to be physical separation of pipes and the less logic required the better.
true, the normal plug provides the first option, the second option would be viable if you only have one block space between a chest and a machine the can't be allowed redstone signal. :)
I assume you mean for extraction? you can use pipe wire to trigger
actions, without invoking redstone.
2 pipes next to each other with gold gates, and connected by 2
differebt wire colors can probably do any logic you think is blocked
by the lack of redstone plug.
