Stirling engine won't heat up past 42 degrees, once it reach 42.00 the temperature drops to 0 degrees.

more info needed. What version of bc? What is the engine connected
to/Is there a valid power sink for the engine?

I'm going to bet you haven't updated recently, and that you turned off the day/night cycle.

Moar info comming!
Forge 9.10.0.842
BC 4.0.2
Forestry 2.3.0.1
Single player and normal day/night cycle

Stirling engine was directly connected to Forestry's squeezer (max input is about 5mj/t) and there was other engine directly connected to Forestry's carpenter, both reacting the same way. I was actually wrong about degree it resets to, it drops to 20 degrees.
Then I tested it with Buildcraft's quarry with and without pipes and also without all other mods I had. Engine still heats up only up to 42 degrees.
Also energy stored in buffer and temperature drops at the same time, stored energy goes up to 100 Mj (tested on quarry).
Engine that doesn't power anything heats up normally and blows up after a while.

Sounds like its working as intended. I see no issue.

Not a BC issue.
