Four corner landmarks (Grief protection option)

This is a config option that requires landmarks at all bottom four corners (instead of just three) to "link".
Right now, (as a simple Google search shows) many people have trouble with quarries bypassing grief protection. Most of the time, grief protection will prevent placing a quarry or landmarks inside of protected land, but won't stop a quarry from digging inside of protected land. This means that if you set landmarks at the corners of a claim, you can "reach" about 63 blocks into a claim from any corner.
With this config option enabled, you would be unable to quarry inside of any claim that is at least 63x63ish. This solution is far from perfect, but I think it would be a significant improvement. It would also apply to fillers, and it doesn't require any external dependencies.
I don't think any of these are a deal-breaker, but I figured I should acknowledge the limitations to the usefulness:
*) This won't help people with smaller claims
*) People will be confused why landmarks don't work, which will require more signs at spawn, and more admin time, when people ignore those signs. Might be mitigated with a message to the player on item use.
*) Quarries would still be able to "reach" about 9 blocks into claims with the default size
Is there enough interest in this that a patch might be accepted?
That could be minimised by adding the check for the 4th at the end of the
existing code, and printing a message if the area would otherwise be
activated, except for the lack of a landmark at the far corner.
This would all lap mean you wouldn't need to significantly change the
existing landmark code .

other idea: check your mod/plugin that adds the protection. Most of the time there is a list of blocks that should be blocked inside protected land, or contact the maker of the mod/plugin. If you add the quary frame to the list/ask to block the frame, you can't build a quary inside protected land

Except, lots of times people want to be able to run their own quarry inside of protected land. You just don't want other people to be able to run a quarry inside of other people's protected land.
I've also seen a lot of servers that op [Buildcraft], which is often the major cause of these problems. This is meant to be a compromise, because simply, I've never been on a server that actually had the quarry working with the greif protection plugin. Even if that is fixable, I'd point out that a lot of people don't fix it.
