Hi,

i've played minecraft for some time, with a lot of texturepacks, but this is the first time i put a mod on it (BuildCraft 4.2.2). As far as i tried, everything is working perfectly, except for the oil. I spend an hour on the back of my horse running trough desserts, and i spended many more hours in caves between Y20 and Y30 (and 10 for diamonds). I even used a filler to clear a 60x60 area from Y20 to Y28! I understand that oil is rare, but hell, i should have found at least a little drop of oil? I also tried some seeds from other players, but they are all for older versions of Buildcraft.

As it seems it also isn't possible to put lava in my combustion engine, i really have no other choice than to find this damn oil... Does anyone know what this problem causes? Or is it a general bug? Or does anyone have a seed from a current oil-source so I can check if i can even see them?

Also you don't need to dig to find it. If there is oil there will be an oil geyser.

Was BC added after you started the current map?
Could you please attach your ForgeModLoader-client-0.log file (and make sure you're running MC 1.6.4)?

If you aren't playing on a new world that was created after you added the mod you may have to explore further out because the oil will only spawn in newly generated chunks.

Note that until this is a confirmed bug (which may very well be) it's best to report those on http://www.mod-buildcraft.com/forums/forum/help/. I'm closing this issue for now, will re-open once confirmed.
