As suggested on YouTube.

No. But it feels like it might be helpful to have in a "misc BC pluggables" addon that I could make.

planned for 8.0?

It would be cool if it sent a redstone signal with the power level of the crop's growth.

So I guess a trigger once plants like Cocoa Beans, Wheat, Pumpkin, Carrots, Potatoes fully grown?

A new chipset would go good with this IMO. Something like "biological plant-ish tree-ish crop-ish chipset".

@RagaRBM I hope so - need to check the implementability

@Mrkol the current extension scheme works great with a small number of chipsets, but we'll need some design effort if we want it to scale up properly, in particular with regards to the graphical design.

Could be great for stripe pipes!

@hea3ven - We're not breaking the immersion, not in a thousand suns.

This would be great to have, if possible?

I've been thinking about this. In stead of doing something specific like this, having a block update trigger. In one hand, it opens a lot more gameplay options, in the other hand, it breaks the immersion.

commented

hmm, a block update one wouldn't do the trick for this use cause you need multiple updates before it's fully grown

commented

Well, yeah, it would be harder than just having a "plant is mature" trigger, but it would be possible.

think a block update would do (you could count the ticks per plant with some rs and hoppers?), but it does break the immersion I agree. I was quite liking the biological-summink-or-other idea, but applied to a trigger :)
