I'm sorry to say this but I personally don't like the idea. Most of the plugs you suggest have the same abilities as pipes/gates.
Pipe plugs should be just plugs, no need to make things complicated and introduce more items.

I also don't like the idea. In addition, it is not wise to work on this now due to certain redesigns happening.

This could be done better with sided gates, for now.

Agreed with @psxlover and @asiekierka - I suggest to delay this for a while. Hopefully, after redesign, it will be possible to do that in a sub-mod (if still needed).

@SpaceToad no trouble. I can wait for it. I still had to override the renderpart and co for it :P also i can help AEnterprise with the eureka project.
