Furnaces won't accept fuel

I've tried piping fuel (railcraft coal coke) into a furnace in Buildcraft 6.2 and it won't go in any side. Simply bounces out of the pipe.

@PatDaddy13 If it does not work with a Vanilla Hopper then it is a railcraft bug.

Hi there. Thanks for getting back to me.

Just tested with a vanilla hopper. Coal Coke will go into a Furnace with a vanilla hopper, but not through pipes.

Vanilla coal will go into a furnace through pipes and hoppers.

Ok, that may have something todo with the inserting of items and blocks generally.
@Asie i assume that pipes do not check correctly or something changes the furnace. Hmmm anyways i think that should be fixed as soon as possible.

Are you inserting coal from the bottom? I just tested with coal coke and it works fine

Hey there, thanks for getting back to me.

Yes, I'm attempting to insert from the bottom. I could use a pipe to get regular coal into the furnace, just not coal coke.

I'm using Buildcraft 6.2.1 and Railcraft 9.3.3.0.

@AEnterprise my memories are with some parts like a glassbottle without a bottom. And the name asie is already saved for me and without Desktop/Laptop autoinsert names on github i do use only those names i remeber
@asiekierka you should be able to insert fuels into the side.
Top: Exporting & Importing: Input
Horizontal Sides:
Exporting: Fuels & Output
Importing: Fuels
Down:
Importing: Fuels
Exporting: Empty Containers in fuel Slot (Empty buckets in this case) and Output.

Note: Output is the finished item in the furnace.

With a vanilla furnace the input of fuel should be from any vertical side: north, south, west or east. It should not be possible to insert the fuel from the bottom (or top). These are rules put in place by the Furnace and not something we can/should control from BuildCraft.

I tested this quite a bit a long time ago when I discovered that ThaumCraft golems could insert Gold Ingots into the bottom of a Furnace and give me free xp. It was (at the time) not possible to do the same with BuildCraft pipes.

Yes. This is how vanilla is designed and cases not respecting sides... Bleh. (Also, this has only been true since 1.5.2).
