mining wells trying to break water taking forever ??

ok so when a mining well is over water to get down one block fully powered it can take 3-5 seconds allmost like its mining obsidian if not worse i am guessing this is a bug or ? if otherwise just let me know =D

6.2.6 if im not mistaken i was moving it with frames from funky loco everything was running on land then the second it was over it was trying and failing to break the water blocks as it went down almost like they where solid and Really hard to get through for the machine- pulled it back over land and sure enough everything was good again
