The builder became very restricted, even in creative mode it won't build stuff like chests, pipes, gates.
It replaced the grass blocks with dirt in creative which doesn't seem necessary too.

On a side note, build marks only connect now when clicking with empty hands. They used to connect when clicking while holding an item too.
