Hello,

In 1.7.10, we have a setting to disable the dense oil propriety, but I can't find this setting in 1.12.
So, how to disable this proprerty?

Also, I disabled everything generated by BuildCraft but I still find oil lakes in my world.
Thank you in advance.

There is no way to disable this feature because authors are too proud of it and don't want to allow users to disable it?

No, I forgot to re-add this config option during development.

the option is

# Should oil be dense and drag entities down?
B:oilIsDense=false

although it does not seem to have an effect post 1.7 even if manually add it to the config. In my opinion this is bad development practice and i cannot fathom why the decision was made to do this. Its not right to remove options especially related to unpopular features catering to a certain cancerous hard core community. I always found the dense oil mechanism rather unrealistic and contrived since it serves no practical purpose than to be a FU mechanism as oil's density would drastically INCREASE buoyancy it would slow you down and possibly get you stuck but should not "Actively" drag you down and drown you. I mean BOP has quicksand which behaves the same way but the critical difference that makes that a legitimate game mechanic is a player can dig out of it whereas oil is a fluid that can only be manipulated at a source block and essentially can't be dealt with reasonably. This option should have never been removed and needs to be fixed years ago
