for the recipes you can check the guide book (non assembly ones will be in JEI as well), gates are in there but not all blocks are atm, the guide book is made with 3 paper and a wooden gear

those wiki resources are just a bit outdated

For reference, here is the first page of gate recipes: (some of them are made in a crafting table rather than the assembly table, although you should check the later pages for the rest of the recipes)
