So I'm trying to make a powerplant using lava and combustion engines, but the lava won't go into the engine. It won't go in weather I put it there manually, or pipe it in with gold fluid pipes. Why won't it go into the engine?

You have to use a Stirling engine instead - lava isn't a combustible fuel.
