Forge version: 14.23.5.2824
Singleplayer or multiplayer: both

Even linked with redstone the flood gate won't stop spilling water

I think that is normal. last time I built one I had to break it and use a bucket to remove the water block

Sorry to be more precise no matter what I do if the flood gate get water it won't stop spilling water even with Redstone on it I tried everything, wasn't it supposed to be stopable with redstone?

On every video and on every wiki it says that flood can be controlled by redstone
