geometry issue at high render distance

Describe the bug
At a render distance of 54, blocks near the edge of the render distance have... pieces missing, for lack of a better phrase.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- set render distance to 54
- set FOV to 30 and get a spyglass (easier to see this way)
- zoom in on the blocks near the edge (most visible on partial and transparent blocks)
Expected behavior
The blocks render completely.
Runtime info (please complete the following information):
- OS: EndeavourOS (zen kernel)
- Minecraft version: 1.20
- Mod version: 0.2.0+alpha.10.85

- [I think? The latest version on Jenkins appears to be lower than the version I have installed?] I tried the latest development version but the issue persists.
- I searched for similar open issues and could not find an existing bug report on this.
