Isn't this kind of to be expected? Better Caves modifies terrain generatioan thus doesn't have the code to deal with C2ME. (At least this is what I assume)

Well, there is no sign of Better Caves ever even being installed. I'm running Fabric 1.16.5, latest version of Better Caves and C2ME. There is no console message to indicate that Better Caves is working as there normally will be however on doing /mods, Better Caves is there. When I say no caves spawn, literally none, the entire underground is empty apart from mineshafts.

What settings do you have c2me on

I can elaborate on this, with YUNG's better caves generation installed, all caves don't generate when c2me is installed (although they do start generating again when disabling threaded world gen)

Not working with threaded world gen (specifically feature placement) is expected, the world mod needs to be designed to take advantage of that feature otherwise it won't work.

Here is with just Threaded I/O and Threaded Chunk Gen and that is it (so the default config)

Im sorry, but did you even bother to check this? Look in the Discord, the dev is still releasing updates for his other mods and is helping people out in the better caves channel

Better Caves isn't on 1.17 and 1.16 support for C2ME is dropped.

Oh shit sorry, I didn't see this line in the faq:

"For 1.18, I plan on full ports for all of my major mods except Better Caves. I will no longer be developing Better Caves."
