Please fill out the details below before contributing

  • Forge Version: 2477
  • Calculator Version: 3.2.5
  • SonarCore Version: 3.2.9
  • Multiplayer or Singleplayer: MP
  • Crash Report Link: N/A
  • Affected Features: Extraction Chamber
  • Description: It takes on average, 6m40s to get a single random circuit and 86m40s to get a specific circuit using the extraction chamber. Tedium and waiting are bad substitutes for complexity or challenge. Please consider adding specific recipes for each type of circuit and increasing the godawful drop rate of circuits preferably to 100.

you can speed it up with speed upgrades

also other machines can you the specific circuits you need

Which machines can allow me to get specific circuits, and how do I get speed upgrades without already having some circuits? Yes, the time it takes to get circuits goes down as you progress, but it's such a huge initial time gate that I'm finding myself not even wanting to continue with the mod.

For some perspective, I went to bed last night with my Extraction Chamber automated and woke up this morning with 3 chests full of circuits, and still missing the one I need. This is a case of really bad RNG, but serves to perfectly illustrate why there shouldn't be RNG involved.

the precision chamber: https://github.com/SonarSonic/Calculator/wiki/Precision-Chamber

yes the initial time investement isn't that small but you can speed it up by making multiple machines

There is a chance (albeit infinitely small) that the initial time investment is infinite. No number of machines will change this fact. This is terrible terrible design. Again I point out that after ~7 hours of machine processing time I still don't have the specific circuit I need. Other mods that have this kind of pointless giant time gate (I'm looking at you every mod that uses steel) are not RNG based and therefore become an order of magnitude smaller.

EDIT: Thanks for the heads up on the Precision Chamber, I had been looking only at stuff I had available. The mechanics for the Precision Chamber are great, but you still have to first get through the RNG grind of the Extraction Chamber.
