The drop behavior of backpacks doesn't seem to be functioning correctly while playing in survival mode. Removing the backpack will not drop the items in it unless you drag a chest plate over it.

Here's a clip of what's happening. This only appears to be an issue while in survival / adventure mode. This is consistent for all 3 types of backpacks.
