Reproduction Steps

Start the game with QSMP modpack (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/qsmp-unofficial)
Add canary-mc1.18.2-0.2.4 to the mods
Game crashes before starting

Can you please try without Canary or update to the latest version to see if its fixed?
