Essentials has recently introduced custom capes with their latest update. WIth this, more capes are to come. It would be beneficial if this mod supported that. https://essential.gg/en/

Unfortunately not viable. Looking at the Essential source code, cape data is sent via their cosmetics manager, which relies on their connection to the Essential Connection Manager, which is a realtime websocket for all data post authorization.
