Need I say more?

It's been requested many times, but I see little value in adding it. Lots of little things would need to be tweaked to make it look and act correctly.. this mod doesn't have the type of framework necessary to support multiple blocks like Multipart, which would be the ideal way to accomplish this sort of thing.

This is basically just FMP support, right (multiple block-entities within the space of a single block)?

commented

That's one way to accomplish this, yeah.

commented

That would be ideal

I know that Extra Utilities adds an "Impossible Object"; it's a sphere that works with FMP. There's got to be a way to make CB work with it.

Tema doesn't just add that, he adds many fmp objects such as fences, walls, and pipe jackets.

Found another suggestion concerning FMP support (see above).

The first thing that comes to mind is that the regular CB slopes, which leave corners and edges un-occupied, would allow appropriately sized FMP microblocks to be placed in the "empty space".

It's very good idea and It doesn't sound to be very difficult.

I'd definitely love to play with FMP mixing with Carpenters blocks. I'm curious to think what form this would take. The first thing that comes to mind is that the regular CB slopes, which leave corners and edges un-occupied, would allow appropriately sized FMP microblocks to be placed in the "empty space".

The second is to be able to make mini versions of the CB slopes and such.

Yeah, the first option is what this issue is about. The second one is what issue #152 concerns. I would prefer the second option; it would allow the creation of customised slopes and stairs (perfect for a decorations mod!). It would be much easier to implement the first option, though.

(Perhaps the implementation of the first option could be extended to suit the second option; that means that we can get new features faster. We'll have to talk with the FMP devs, too.)
