this glitch is really weird because it changes the oak texture of carpenter beds in 1.6.4 into ANYTHING.
Then dig 1 block under the 2nd part of the bed and 1 to the side.
Place a slab block or what I did was a slab crafting table (Tinkers Construct), under the bed.
Then simple right click the part of the bed above the slab with a block and the texture will change, and then you can do the same with the other part of the bed.
While this is a glitch and not suppose to be in the game, This would be an AWESOME feature to add.
P.S, you can break the bed if its any material and upon breaking it gives you your materials back
P.S.S You could probably check to see if it works in other versions and doing this with the carpenters hammer makes some AWESOME beds.
resource packs don't change anything so i fired up vanilla minecraft with Carpenter's Blocks v3.3.7 DEV - MC 1.7.10 and forge 1.7.10 10.13.4.1448-1.7.10 and drum roll The bugs still there! It would be cool if you added this in as a feature and not a bug, but when I tried it still worked.
Okay, wait.. I think I understand what you're saying now. You're talking about covering the bed -- that's a feature the mod has had since day 1. Give the tutorial a read to understand everything you can do with this mod here: http://www.carpentersblocks.com/tutorial.html
1.6.4 is pretty old now, so whatever bug you may find you will just have to live with. The only alternative is to fire up Eclipse and fix it yourself.
facepalm sorry, just saw it and thought it was a glitch. So you can really just right click the bed with any block and the frame turns into it? So i could the oak frame around the bed Redstone?
Mostly, but not all blocks will work. If you find one that doesn't, you can try adding it as an exception in the configuration file.
