In v3.1.2 the models for the door and bed are a bit wonky, only half of them are showing. There is also no visible model in NEI. Also, when you place two beds or doors next to each other they simply disappear from the world.

Tested and it all looks good with vanilla Forge and this mod. Have you narrowed down all possibilities on your end? Unload everything but Carpenter's Blocks - no Optifine, no MCPatcher, or similar. You mention NEI - have you tried it without?

I didn't have Optifine or MCPatcher, but I'll do a test with just Carpenter's Blocks and forge. I was basically throwing a bunch of 1.7 mods together to see what stuck, so I probably messed something up!

When I ported to 1.7 I had to reenable block registration for the door and bed to apply burn properties. This had the side-effect of bringing the blocks back to NEI's block list as selectable items. Keep in mind, only the item for the door and bed are intended to be used in the world, not the blocks.

Well, now I feel like an idiot. When I was first testing this pack only the "half bed/door" were showing up in the creative menu. Now, the regular bed and door are showing up just fine after enabling/disabling them in the config.

This is pretty much just pebcak error, heh. Sorry to waste your time >-<
