Fake players can't operate boat

using /player Alex spawn, /player Alex mount. /player Alex move forward and the boat can't move.
minecraft 1.16.4, fabric-carpet-1.16.4-1.4.17+v201111, fabric-api-0.26.0+1.16, java 16.
I'm not sure it is an issue or a feature request. But it is helpful to let bot operate boat so that bot can operate chest on boat to carry items.
