well, you didn't get to the error in your log dump

thats where the log stops, but it works using a prior version of carpet like someone mentioned in the discord, using .53

Use Carpet 1.4.53 for 1.17 for now, there's a problem in 1.4.54 that makes it need Java 17 when the launcher only uses 16.

Also next time for crashes it's preferable to attach a crash report, found in the crash-reports folder.
