Animals behaving as if damaged when picked up if TAN is installed

Expected Behavior

Pick up animals peacefully

Actual Behavior

The animals, if Tough as Nails is installed, behave as if they are being damaged. They are not effectively taking any damage but act like so, turning red and emitting noise as if being damaged.
This can become annoying with other mods installed, like Better with Mods (the other animals start fleeing in group as a response of the picked up animal "damage"). And with Animania installed animals can become dangerous too, because they start to defend themselves as if being provoked (even a crowded henhouse could become deadly).

Nothing that can't be worked around by turning off the BWM group flee feature, but I thought it was worth of mentioning.
I'm 110% sure that is TAN which is causing the problem. Tried a clean istance with only just CarryOn and one with only CarryOn and TAN to be sure (not even utility mods like JEI; tried with TAN versions 3.1.0.132 and .135).

Install Tough as Nails.

Version of Minecraft, Carry On, Forge
