[Bug] Multiplayer server won't allow players to connect

Error Behaviour

When attempting to connect to a server which has version 0.2.5 or 0.2.6, the following error occurs:

The server console has no further information.

Here is an example of the latest.log when the error occurred:

Expected Behaviour

To connect to the server

Reproduce

  1. Attempt to connect to server with Caupona 0.2.5 or 0.2.6 on both client and server

We use this modpack: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/modpacks/cottage-witch

Version 1.12 of the modpack works fine. Version 1.12.1 does not.
