[Suggestion] Remove Golden Bucket

This suggestion is inspired by https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ybh5733DCo
I do not believe golden buckets hold up to the standards set by your team for several reasons:
- They are a duplicate of a vanilla item (bucket) that does not serve a purpose the original item can't already handle
- They cannot perform some actions (such as catching fish) making them inconsistent in use cases
- They do not (and will not) support any modded fluids
- They don't add to the theme of the mod (underground diversification)
- They are not something Mojang would ever add to the core game
All in all, golden buckets are a fun gimmicky item attempting to solve a problem in Minecraft, but in an odd and expensive way that does not fit well into the modded game.
Therefore I would like to suggest that they be removed from this mod.
But wait!
Before this gets closed, I'd like to suggest an alternative be considered to take their place, either in this mod or its own separate mod:
Allow filled buckets to stack if their NBT matches
This would solve the problem golden buckets address but in a more vanilla-friendly and compatible way - modded buckets could be supported simply with item tags.
Thank you.
i definitely hope that golden buckets are somehow made more compatible with other mods in the future. They can't perform any feature that normal buckets can as of right now for basically any mod.
Also, they can't catch fish like iron buckets, that's a niche
I think making stuff like lava buckets stackable would be a bit OP for smelting but w/e
So firstly, that video was not made by the team and is not our rule of "standards" - if its in the mods, it is up to the standards of our team.
They do serve a purpose, they're a sidegrade to buckets that can hold more fluids at the cost of not being able to transport fish and whatnot.
As mentioned above them not picking up fish is intentional.
The compatibility I understand being frustrated about but it's something we can't keep up with and won't - they are tagged in many ways that should be useful but people have to use those tags. Holding modding fluids is a different can of worms however.
The theme of the mod is not strict and there are plenty of other metal related additions in this mod, that doesn't really make a difference (also we've never stated the "theme" of the mod to be strictly underground diversifcation - there's a lot of features in the mod that don't fall under that)
We don't specifically add things only Mojang would add - if we did, 90% of the content just wouldn't be in the mods, its why we develop mods. Also, Mojang has been breaking many of their own "rules" over time (many of which haven't even been set by them, just pattern recognition - so this isn't inherently far-fetched)
Finally, stacking buckets with fluid in them isn't something I'm a fan of and also can create issues - and I also don't believe it's more vanilla-friendly, that is completely subjective.
You'll have to forgive my confusion with the video then, as it has your team's logo and links in both the introduction and description, making it appear official.
Regardless, my argument still stands that golden buckets have nothing to do with "Caverns and Chasms" and merely exist as filler (pun intended).
Their lack of compatibility and overall narrow scope (along with being a copy-paste of a vanilla item with a gimmick) leads credibility to my claim that this is one of the lower quality additions to your mods - up to standards or otherwise.
Regarding stacking buckets; I agree, and it should not be handled in this mod either way.
