Don't we already have that?

  1. Use cable to connect monitor

Cables can only connect to other cables and modems. Modems however can connect devices to computers across a network, just remember to right-click the modem to make it register the device on the network.

  1. The portable computer can be put on the podium

I am pretty sure that CC adds its own lectern that pocket computers can be placed on.

  1. Design some good-looking computers (e.g. laptops)

There are some data packs that do this, I don't know of any but I do know that they exist. I doubt that CC is going to change the models as the CC dev team is just one programmer and I believe that he doesn't have modeling experience. Also, the current visual design of CC has been its look and charm since the start and I doubt that CC's long term fans are going to be happy with the change.

I'm afraid I'm going to echo other people's confusion here — I'm not quite sure what you mean, and how this would be different to the current modem system.

The portable computer can be put on the podium

There are plans for this (see #1912), though it's probably not going to happen until Minecraft 1.21.4/1.21.5, as it requires several breaking changes to the public API.

Design some good-looking computers (e.g. laptops)

I don't really want to add new blocks which are just aesthetically different — that's a very easy way to add bloat. I'm hoping one day Minecraft will add support for creating blocks via datapacks, and we can allow people to add new blocks/models that way.

I know you've opened a couple of issues this week, so just a few tips:

  • Search for issues before opening them! You may need to search for closed ones too (remove is:open from the search bar), but sometimes things have been mentioned already.
  • Please try to include a little bit more information in your issues. Sometimes it's hard to know quite what people mean, so the more information the better! The issue template provides some good structure. It doesn't have to be much — #1912 is a good example here — it's just a few more sentences than "The portable computer can be put on the podium", but provides a) motivation for the feature and b) an explanation of how it should work.
