It's Dinnerbone's whole shtick to be upside down - if you look on his twitter, his profile picture is upside down as well.

Minecraft renders all entities including players with the name Dinnerbone or Grumm upside down.
The upside-down-ness also shows in the tab player list, so I thought I make it consistent and apply this to the chat heads as well.

Under normal circumstances this would only apply to those two developers, however there may be mods that could turn you upside down too.
