`ClassCastException` - crash when trying to login to the server or minimizing the game by Alt+Tab

Description

After launching Minecraft and then minimizing the game using Alt+Tab, the game crashes, generating errors in the logs, sometimes without crash reports. Sometimes it crashes after logging in to the server.

How to reproduce

  1. Launch Minecraft
  2. Press Alt+Tab and back to screen of game.
    OR
    2.1 Join to the server.

Expected result

The game is crashed

Specs and Details

Required information:

  • Windows 11
  • 8.0-alpha.3 (tried to play on 8.0-alpha.4, same thing)
  • Fabric 1.21.4 0.16.?(for alpha.3), 0.17.2(for alpha.4) , Fabric API 0.119.3, and YetAnotherConfigLib 3.7.1
  • Mod Menu13.0.3

  1. can you reproduce this without any other mods (- deps) installed?
  2. is this only on servers?

  1. I don't know, but it seems like it should be tested for longer, but it still has the same error that occurs during crashes with other mods (screenshot is shown here)

@mrbuilder1961 another crash with same serialization error (lots of em on screen and when these cleared there were more coming like a train showing only 5 at a time, I attached a ss from it)
Happened when I alt+tab the game (a single player world)
I use chatpatches-8.0-alpha.4+1.21.8-fabric
