I don't like when I type something in chat but decide to cancel it and press escape. However, when I open chat back up, the message is still there, and it gets annoying to have to erase it and press enter.

I'd like an option to disable this feature, because I don't find it useful personally. In fact, any new chat features you add in the future should be customizable and toggleable, so people can change as they see fit.
