1.12.1 Chisel and Bits and Optifine compatibility

Description of Issue

There is a rendering issue with Optifine and the Chisel and Bits Mod running with the forge. When you use Optifine, it no longer renders the Chisel and Bits Model. I am using 1.12.1 for both and there was no problem with this 2 years ago on my world. I am trying to access an old project and the chisel and bits model are not loading (you can see their outline but not the actual blocks themselves). Weird thing is, I used the same versions of both of the mods and forge from 2 years ago, so I am not even sure what the real issue is.

Steps to Reproduce

You launch Minecraft with 1.12.1 forge with 1.12.1 Chisel and Bits Mod with Optifine. This can also be recreated with only Chisel and Bits and Optifine.

OptiFine Version

Both OptiFine_1.12.1_HD_U_C7 (The version I used 2 years ago) and OptiFine_1.12.1_HD_U_G5 (The most recent 1.12.1 version)

Installation Method

I dropped the JAR file into my "mods" folder.

Fabric/Forge Version

1.12.1-forge1.12.1-14.22.1.2478

Problem

Prior Testing

  • Does this happen without other mods installed?
    • Only OptiFine, Chisel and Bits and Forge
  • Does this happen without any mods at all?
    • Need Chisel and Bits
  • Does this happen in OptiFine standalone?
    • Need Chisel and Bits
  • Does this happen in Vanilla without OptiFine?
    • Need Chisel and Bits
  • Have you tried using a binary search to find which mods cause this issue?
    • Yes, I have, the conclusion is that Optifine might be the problem
    • Does the issue still happen with only the remaining mods installed?
      • No, the tiny blocks can load fine without Optifine

Additional Information

It might have been some in game settings or something that I have changed over the years that might have caused this, but I cannot think of an immediate cuprite that might have caused this issue. I also posted this on the Optifine github in case it is a problem on their end.
