And yes, this happens while holding a bit or chisel. Nothing in the offhand. Not holding down CTRL, Shift, or anything. Just normal left click.

I would be casually breaking off bits of a project when the entire thing suddenly disappears. Undo does not work to bring it back, making me have to start from the beginning.

(In creative mode) I've started copy and pasting the project every few minutes to try to keep complete restarts like that from happening, but once this bug occurs, it begins to occur much more often, causing the project to disappear every 2-5 bits I remove. I usually have to wait a while before returning to the project and continue breaking off bits.

I've also tried simply removing the bits more slowly, waiting at least a full second before each click. Doesn't help much.

im having the same problem on 1.19.2, tried with multiple forge versions, resolutions, having just the c&b mod, different game settings and graphics software settings

It happens when you are breaking bits and if your crosshair goes somewhere where theres no blocks then you go back to the block you are chiseling and break a bit it will break the entire block
