Game hanging randomly when interacting with bits [forge 1.20.1] [1.4.148]

Same issue, I have noticed that when holding shift near a chisel n bits block memory usage sky rockets, the speed of use increases dramatically. For example if you press f3 and see the memory % increase at say 1 per second when holding shift next to a chisel n bits block it accelerates to about 4 or 5% per second. AS soon as you unshift it returns to normal.
As an addendum if you are beyond 4 blocks away from said chisel n bits block this does not happen, if you are closer than 4 block radius it does occur
