In the picture, I'm looking straight down and placed water bits with "connected plane". It correctly placed them where I was looking, but also placed them "outside" the walls of my fountain.

Here's another connected-plane weirdness:

When I place a connected plane on top of the + sign of water bits, it is sized correctly, but doesn't match the shape.
