Chunky Crashing When Generating a Radius of 4k or Larger

I'm running a new modded server for my friends and I and have been trying to pregenerate a decent amount of our world to get started. Other users recommended 5000 chunks, so that's what I'm doing. However, when I set it there, the server would crash about 60% of the way through. I've been since generating it by small incremental amounts, but am now stuck at 4000. It nearly gets done and then it crashes.
Are there any commands to make Chunky run slower, or have it pause the operate if the server is about to be overloaded? The server is through Apex Hosting, and we can only afford 4MB right now.
Let me know if there's any solution or any other information you'll need.
Hey! Thanks for making an issue, however usually we use this for feature requests and bugs, questions like this are best asked on our Discord server. Especially when it comes to performance concerns. Also be sure to check the FAQ first as this covers most common issues people have with pre-generating. Note if you are crashing, pre-generating slower is usually not a solution - you will just crash slower, at best. Fixing the issue causing the crash is the proper fix and will also result in a more stable server and better gameplay.
