The links on the original minecraft forum page are non-functional. I'd really like to be able to have access to the older versions so that I can enjoy the mod the way I remember it.

I am not going to ask you to continue the mod, it would take a lot of time to bring it back to its former glory, giving access to the older versions is the only thing I really wish.
