For this issue, I have a pretty good idea of what needs changed, but just to be sure.. could you provide a list of the mods in the screenshot there, or in the pack? I don't think the mods themselves are the issue, but it can help me recreate an exact scenario to test with.

If that's happening with the bare essentials, then it's almost certainly what I think it is (JEI plugin has a front-to-back offset being applied). I can probably get a proof of concept going shortly, thanks! Keep an eye out.
