Monitor and Computer Background is a font file [1.75, minecraft 1.7.10]

As mentioned in the title, the monitors and screens of my computercraft setups have a font file as a back ground, this is an exact replica of a similar issue: #60, however, the solution that was available to that person is not available to me as I need to use computercraft in 1.7.10. I use an Nvidia gefore 960 card and all of the attempted solutions in the older problem I linked to were tried, and failed. I am using version E7 of optifine for mincraft 1.7.10 along with other mods such as Flans, Warpdrive, Mekanism, Defense tech and the Thermal Expansion Suite. I would appreciate any help that you can offer as this problem is really affecting the way I play the game, Thank-you very much for any help you can provide, I will do my best to provide any extra information that is needed.
1.7.10 hasn't been supported for a long time, so I'm afraid I can't offer any guaranteed fixes aside from the obvious. However, there's a couple of things you might be able to try:
- Removing optifine. It's normally fine, but sometimes it causes issues.
- If you've got resource packs, removing them and restarting the game. There were definitely issues with CC and resource pack fonts in previous versions.
It appears that the resource pack was the problem, thank-you very much, this problem however, seems to occur almost randomly so I will keep this problem open for now in case it happens again, sadly, as much as I Would like to stop using 1.7.10, the warpdrive mod is only updated to 1.7.10... I myself really dislike downgrading like this to play mods, but I adapt ;). Again, Thanks and hopefully now the problem will be fixed!
CC1.75 was the last build to rely upon texture pack font files - all subsequent builds use their own font file, meaning that your particular issue has certainly been fixed.
Under those older builds, if a texture pack implements a non-monospaced font, then your options are to either start the game with the default textures and then enable the pack afterwards, or remove that font file from the resource pack.
