Controller inputs don't do anything (Dualsense)

Describe the bug
Whenever I try to make any input on the controller, the game does not respond. When I use my mouse, the game keeps trying to switch back to controller, as if the controller was constantly making inputs until the mod forcibly disables the controller because "it was found to conflict with the keyboard and mouse".
To Reproduce
- Connect Dualsense or Nintendo Switch Pro controller to PC via Bluetooth
- Open Minecraft
- Make sure the Controller Settings says that the Dualsense Controller or Nintendo Switch Pro Controller is "Currently in use"
- Make any input on the Dualsense to find that nothing happens. Move your mouse to see the conflict that makes the controller get disabled.
Expected behavior
The inputs on the controller work in the game and not interfere with mouse and keyboard.
Minecraft Info
- OS: Windows 11
- Minecraft Version: 1.20
- Mod Version: 1.3.0-beta.2+1.20
Additional context
I tried to get around this issue by using DS4 Windows to emulate a Dualshock 4 controller, which led to another issue with DualSense. Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and DS4 Windows worked as intended.
Can confirm that DualSense input is not doing anything on macOS, but does not trigger any mouse conflict
- OS: macOS Ventura 13.3.1
- Minecraft ver: 1.20
- Mod ver: 1.3.0+1.20 release
tried both wired and wireless on my own dualsense, same results. either way it would always eventually disable the controller due to "constantly giving input." the fact this is also happening with switch pro controllers leads me to believe this only happens with controllers that support gyro.
