Modifier keys cannot be bound on their own

Lshift is by default crouch, but you couldn't bind it to anything else without using it as a modifier while using this mod. Maybe add a feature where double tapping a modifier key sets it as the bind for something?
No, I can bind things to left shift + a but if I just input left shift it waits for another input, which then overwrites that. If I input a combo bind, (left shift + a) it saves that without overwriting.
Just so I understand, you can bind things to left shift just fine, however you cannot bind something to say left shift + a?
