Since it really doesn't matter where food goes, in the kitchen cabinets/fridge/fruit basket/etc., it would be great if there is an option to use the full kitchen as a single storage system. That way when items are piped in or out, you don't have to connect pipes to each individual block but just to one block connected to the kitchen. Maybe add an external connection block to support this.

I believe this is better accomplished in mods specialized for these kind of things (Applied Energistics, Refined Storage, Tom's Simple Storage, etc.). Adding an external connection block to Cooking for Blockheads would feel out of place, and it would add new complexity in which CFB would have to classify items by their "preferred" location, soon followed by user requests to be able to configure it, edge cases, and so on.

That said, I'm personally also working on a mod that could help accomplish this kind of functionality in the future, but it is not yet ready for release.
