The same thing happened to a friend of mine on version 1.4.2 for 1.19.2 fabric, seems like they haven't fixed the issue yet. The armors in question were the Witch Hat from Biome Makeover and the second time it happened was the Wither Skeleton Armor from Immersive Armors.
