Skin isnt changing in cosmetica profile or settings?

Describe the bug
I am running an instance on PrismLauncher and have changed my skin in minecraft.net. That didnt work so I downloaded a mod called SkinShuffle to add an in game skin changer. I uploaded the PNG skin to that mods subsequent folder and it has changed my skin in game. When I go to my Cosmetica profile and Cosmetica settings in game, it reverts back to my old skin that I originally changed from. When I exit from cosmetica settings, it applies my cosmetics to my new skin but does not change skin in Cosmetica profile or settings screens.
Expected behavior
The skin should change for cosmetica when i update my skin

Setup (please complete the following information):
- OS: Windows 11
- Java 1.20.1
Additional context
Not a major bug (if even that), but makes choosing cosmetics a pain to visualize with new skin.
It can take a few days for Cosmetica to detect updates to your skin or username. Reopen this in a few days if it still hasn't updated.
